JUNE P. BASHANT received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a secondary focus in Political Science from St. Mary's College of Maryland in 1991. After one year working in the financial industry for Citibank, Ms. Bashant entered law school and graduated with honors from Widener University School of Law in 1995. During her education, Ms. Bashant completed several internships including one in the Maryland Governor's Office, and one in the Appellate Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office. Following law school, Ms. Bashant relocated to San Francisco in 1995, and was admitted to the California State Bar. Ms. Bashant began working in the field of insurance coverage litigation. In 1999, Ms. Bashant joined the firm of Rouda, Feder, Tietjen & Zanobini, and has been working in the interest of the plaintiff ever since. Currently, her practice focuses on employment litigation including discrimination and harassment, as well as wage and hour matters. Additionally, Ms. Bashant handles medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Ms Bashant has handled cases against both small and large corporate entities. In 2005, Ms. Bashant successfully arbitrated a wrongful death case against Kaiser, and has participated in numerous mediations and settlement conferences aggressively litigating on the side of injured individuals. Currently, Ms. Bashant serves as an At Large Member of the Board of San Francisco Trial Lawyers. She is also a member of the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, The Queen's Bench, San Francisco Trial Lawyer's Women's Caucus, California Women Lawyers, and the Contra Costa Bar Association. Ms. Bashant is a contributor to the Family Emergency Shelter Coalition. She has additionally participated in several fundraisers, including running a marathon, to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
